With all the buzz at VMworld 2019 this week, I thought I would highlight some of the cool new features that have been introduced with vSAN 6.7U3. Later on this month, I will be attending my first Cisco Live event. This year, it is taking place in Berlin, Germany. As part of the event, I have the opportunity to deliver a 20 minute presentation on vSAN. The session is titled “Architectural Overview of HCI powered by VMware”. Earlier this month I had the opportunity to meet with a number of VMware customers in both Singapore and in the UAE. Most of the sessions were enablement and education type sessions, where there was a lot of white-boarding of VSAN (VMware’s hyper-converged infrastructure product) and Virtual Volumes (VVols – Software Defined Storage or SDS for the storage arrays).
